Welcome To Mallakhamb Association, Uttar Pradesh

Mallakhamb has a rich history intertwined with gymnastics. The Mallakhamb Association of Uttar Pradesh was established in Kanpur during the 1986-87 period, with the late Shri Mata Prasad, former Governor of Arunachal Pradesh, serving as President. Shri Raghuvansh Singh Rana was appointed Secretary.

Over the years, leadership transitioned to Shri Pawan Kumar Ojha and Dr. Lallu Ram. For a long time, the Shri Laxmi Vyayam Mandir in Jhansi played a crucial role in managing the association. After the demise of Dr. Lallu Ram, his son, Shri Gajanan Khanwalkar, along with his team, significantly contributed to strengthening Mallakhamb in Uttar Pradesh. On 21 October 2011, the association was officially relocated to Jhansi.

At present, the association is led by Shri Prashant Mishra (Noida) as President, while Shri Ram Singh Sikoria and Shri Arvind Kumar Ojha serve as General Secretary and Treasurer respectively. The Mallakhamb Federation of India has recognized the association since 1986, and it continues to function actively.

Mallakhamb UP

Qualified coaches from M.F.I. have played a vital role in improving Mallakhamb standards in Uttar Pradesh. With a deep historical connection to this traditional sport, the association is constantly working to strengthen its reach and performance.

Funding for state team participation in national tournaments comes through contributions from senior officials, association members, and donations from private and autonomous bodies.

Currently, 32 district associations are affiliated with the main Association. State Mallakhamb Championships are conducted regularly. To maintain transparency and accountability, the association's accounts undergo annual audits and are approved during the Annual General Meeting (AGM).
